Working together as a team, you’ll solve clues and puzzles that lead you to interesting spots around Kananaskis. The clues are all based on things you’ll discover as you follow the route. Search for the answer, solve the clue and enter the answer on your phone. Reply with the correct answer, and you’ll unlock the next step that leads you to a new location within walking distance.

This adventure game is a brain-teasing voyage of discovery that combines the clue-solving challenge of an escape room, the excitement of a scavenger hunt and the pressure of racing against the clock.

Your Kananaskis clue-solving adventure: Mountains and Water

The Great Flood of 2013 had a big impact on the Kananaskis Valley. A resident logistics expert has created an electronic operations manual in the event of another flood, but the password has gone missing. A recovery mechanism was set up to retrieve the password, in the form of a trail of clues around the resort. Are you and your team the right people to find the clues and solve the mystery?

• Start location: Kananskis Mountain Lodge

• Start time: It is flexible! Start any day any time. Just finish before dark!

• Walking distance: approximately 2 km outdoors and indoors on mostly flat trails.

• Average time to complete: 60 minutes plus optional breaks.

• What you need: At least one fully charged cellphone per team (we advise 2+).Dress for the weather and wear footwear suitable for walking around town.

• Children: This adventure is perfect for families.

How it works:

• You’ll receive a series of clues on the free APP. Each clue will guide you to the next location where you'll solve a puzzle or find a hidden word.
• Along the way, you'll visit local icons, experience stunning scenery and uncover hidden places.
• Once you’ve registered your adventure and selected your start date with the tour provider, you’ll receive an email with the instructions and the access code. This happens after you’ve activated your experience on Breakaway Experiences’ website.
• Download the free APP and use the access code to activate your adventure.
• Clues are sequential and written assuming you have no knowledge of the town.
• Submit the correct answer and you will immediately get the next clue. Don’t worry, hints and directions are available, but they’ll cost you a time penalty!
• Decipher all the clues and solve the final mystery!
• The game is most fun when working with other people to find and solve clues. Suggested team size is 2 - 5 players.

Need to know:

• You are not required to buy anything along the route, however there will be time for shopping and dining if you wish.
• Make sure your phone is charged before you start. Additional phones can be added to your game at no extra cost.
• Data plans are only used to activate the adventure and are not used during play.
