Working together as a team, you’ll solve clues and puzzles that lead you to interesting spots around Vulcan, Alberta. The clues are all based on things you’ll discover as you follow the route.

Using the App and your smartphone, search for the answer, decipher clue and enter the answer. Reply with the correct answer, and you’ll unlock the next step that leads you to a new location within walking distance.

This scavenger hunt style adventure is great for friends, families, and groups. It combines the fun of a scavenger hunt with the clue-solving challenge of an escape room and then add on the excitement of racing against the clock. Choose to race or simply enjoy the experience as you tour Vulcan, Alberta. It’s entirely up to you!

Your Vulcan, Clue Solving Adventure:

A journey through space and time with a fun twist! Having freshly qualified from the Intergalactic Space Command academy, you have applied for a prestigious role as Acquisitions Officer for an upcoming mission to the farthest frontiers of space. Do you and your team have what it takes to track down what is needed for the mission around Vulcan and prove you are perfect for the job?

• Start location:  Vulcan Visitor Centre VIEW MAP

• Start time: Start any, day any time. Play at a day / time that works best for you.

• Walking distance: 1.9km walking on flat streets and pathways.

• Average time to complete: 90 - 100 minutes with optional game breaks (several shops and eateries along the route)..

• Level of difficulty: Moderate with a mix of visual and cryptic clues to keep you on your toes. This game is family friendly and pet friendly; however, the clues can be quite challenging. We recommend playing with adults.
  
  
• What you need: At least one fully charged cellphone per team (we advise 2+). Dress for the weather and wear footwear suitable for walking around town.
  
  
• Highlights:  Visitor Centre, historic downtown, Lots of Star Trek!

How it works:

• Activate your experience on Breakaway Experiences’ website, in your My Account.
• Follow the instructions in your certificate and register your adventure.
• Select your start date with the tour provider.
• You will then receive an email with the game instructions and the access code.
• Download the free APP and use the access code to activate your adventure.
• When you begin playing, you’ll receive a series of clues on the free APP. Each clue will guide you to the next location where you will find a hidden word or you'll solve a puzzle.
• Along the way, you'll visit local icons, experience stunning scenery and uncover hidden places.
• Clues are sequential and written assuming you have no knowledge of Vulcan.
• Submit the correct answer and you will immediately get the next clue.
• Don’t worry, hints and directions are available, but they’ll cost you a time penalty.
• Solve all the clues and solve the mystery!

• The game is most fun when working with other people to find and solve clues. Suggested team size is 2 - 5 players.
• You are not required to buy anything, however there are many opportunities for shopping and dining if you wish.
• Please make sure that your cellphone is charged before you start. Additional phones can be added at no extra cost.
• You are only required to use the phone for the App. Data plans are only used to activate the adventure and are not used during play. During the game you only need Wi-Fi or data to synchronize with additional phones in your group.
• Bringing a phone charger is a good idea if your battery is weak.
