Your culinary adventure begins with meeting your expert, local guide at Calgary Farmers Market West. You’ll meet at a reserved table in the main food hall for a light brunch, including a breakfast sandwich, coffee, and fruit. During brunch your guide will tell you all about the history of the market and Alberta’s seven signature foods.

Following brunch, you’ll stroll through the farmer’s market to meet with vendors and enjoy about a dozen tastings. By the end of your tour, you’ll be inspired to shop the market and head home with an abundance of ideas of what to make and freshly sourced Alberta ingredients.

• Gemstone Kitchen or V Burger: Start your day tasty tour with a delicious BELT (Beef bacon, egg, lettuce, and tomato) or vegan breakfast.
• Phil & Sebastien Coffee Roasters: Locally roasted, direct trade beans are a delicious pairing with your breakfast sandwich.
• The Cherry Pit:Fresh fruit or berries to round out your light brunch.
• Better Juice Bar: Fresh pressed juices and popsicles borne as a food waste reduction innovation.
• Yum Bakery: Breads and savoury and sweet pastries made with love by locals.
• Gull Valley Greenhouses:  Heirloom tomatoes, fresh lettuces, peppers, beans, crispy cucumbers, and eggplants.

• Fallen Timber Meadery: Refreshingly modern meads - honey-based wines, hopped drinks, and cocktails.
