A bird’s eye view – fly side by side!

Soaring over the countryside is a thrill unto itself. Sharing that experience by flying in formation side by side is definitely one to check off your buck list and you’ll be talking about for years to come.

You’ll be taking off together from Barrie, just north of Toronto, and soar through the air over Collingwood, Blue Mountain, Wasaga Beach, and more.  You'll be flying in an Advanced Ultralight Aircraft, which is ideally suited for scenic flights and flying lessons (Either an Evektor SportStar or Ellipse Spirit, two-seater aircraft - instructor and participant).

Once you are high in the sky enjoy the scenic views and the sight of each other flying side by side in synchronized formation.

During this dual flying experience you will actually learn to fly a plane and feel the freedom of flight with a certified instructor by your side. You’ll be at the controls at 2,500 to 3,500 feet at speeds averaging 100 miles per hour.

Your Formation Flight takes off from the Edenvale Aerodrome near Barrie.

What's Included:

  • Two planes flown in formation.
  • While you are high in the sky you be able to take the controls and learn to fly.
  • 20-minute Pre-flight and post flight briefing in addition to the flight time.

  • Available year-round Monday - Sunday *
    *Subject to availability

Need to know: 

  • Your flight will depart from and return to the same airport.
  • Minimum height: 48" / 4 ft.   Maximum height: 6'5".
  • Maximum Weight:  260 lbs.
  • Flying lesson is weather dependant.  It is vital you telephone the flight centre before leaving home.
  • Participants under 18 years of age will require the signature of a parent or guardian.
  • Participants will be required to sign a liability release and waiver form.
  • There is an onboard GoPro camera with a wide-angle lens. Please bring a Micro SD card and you can record your entire lesson at no charge.
  • Spectators are welcome to watch you take off and land.
