Learn the rules of survival and making fire!

This wilderness bushcraft workshop is designed to teach some basic skills in bush survival. With some knowledge plus a little confidence you can survive almost anywhere!

This two-hour, hands-on workshop includes the basics of: 

  • Rule of 3's for survival - air, water, food
  • Knife safety, use, and theory
  • Batoning (spitting wood with a knife) and creating shavings
  • Ferrod rod use
  • Understanding natural tinder

Throughout the class you will have the opportunity to practice the skills you learn.

When:   Available year-round every second Sunday

Duration:    2-hours

Need to know:

  • No previous experience is required. 
  • This course deals with axes, knives, and abstract learning concepts. This course is not suitable for children under 12 years old.
  • The course does not include Bow Drill instruction or shelter building.
  • The course only operates when the temperature is +35C to -10C If the temperature is outside this range, it may need to be rescheduled.
  • Please wear multiple layers in cold weather.
