Victoria BC Zombie Scavenger Hunt

The more items you find, the greater the chances you’ll survive the apocalypse in Victoria.

With the whole world in chaos, zombies are outnumbering the living 10 to 1. Small colonies of the living are struggling to get by. You and your team of up to 10 people had been tasked with scavenging downtown Victoria for much needed supplies like food, bandages, vehicles, and other essentials.

The Zombie Scavenger Hunt dedicated app will give you a list of items you need to locate. You will have 1-hour to find and take pictures of these items. The more items you find, the more points you’ll earn and the greater your chances off surviving the apocalypse are. Perform zombie style challenges and answer trivia questions along the way to be rewarded even more points.

Desperate rival colonies are everywhere. They will steal what you worked hard to find if you are not careful.

How it works:

• Zombie Scavenger Hunt is an app-led scavenger hunt played in conjunction with your smartphone.
• Registration instructions will be provided to you once you have activated your Breakaway Experiences' certificate.
• When you are ready to play, you’ll register with the experience provider and download the app called "GooseChase" onto your smartphone to play the scavenger hunt.
• You’ll go to your starting location in downtown Victoria at Centennial Square on the day / time you want to play, and follow the directions provided to you in the Zombie Scavenger app.
• You won’t be alone. Your remote host/guide will be monitoring your progress via the App every step of the way. You can chat with them on the App throughout the game to receive hints, tips, and help if you need it.

Duration: 1 hour

When: Zombie Scavenger Hunt customer support hours are Tuesday-Sunday 9am-5pm. If you prefer you can play anytime, outside the customer support hours.

Need to know:

• You can have up to 10 people on a team. The optimum group size is between 4 and 6 people.
• Nobody will be physically there with you during the game, dressed as Zombies. Everything is done through your smartphone.
• Once you locate an item, all you need to do is take a picture to prove you found it. You do not have to purchase anything during the scavenger hunt.
• To play the game you will need an iOS or Android Smartphone with data plan.
• The game is played all outdoors in public spaces.
• The experience is wheelchair accessible. It is an open scavenger hunt, where you can explore the city on your own terms. There is no specific route, therefore you don’t have to go anywhere that is not wheelchair accessible, nor will you be asked to find anything that could not be accessible in a wheelchair.
