Your tour begins in the pedestrian-friendly historic Distillery district, famous for its Victorian industrial buildings, cobblestone streets, and thriving arts and café scene. The pedestrian-only Distillery District is the oldest collection of commercial Victorian era buildings in North America and once housed the largest whiskey distiller, the Gooderham and Worts distillery. You’ll learn about its transformation from a whiskey distillery into one of Toronto’s most beloved cultural hubs.

Next, you’ll ride through Old Town Toronto and stop at St. Lawrence Market, a world-renowned food market. This market is the first of two on this tour and the oldest public market in Toronto, established in 1803. You’ll wander through its vibrant stalls offering fresh produce, artisanal cheeses, and enjoy on of the famous peameal Canadian bacon sandwiches from the iconic Carousel bakery as you are strolling the aisles of the marketplace.

The tour continues north through Cabbagetown, one of Toronto's oldest neighborhoods. Its name was derived from the Irish immigrants who initially settled here and is one of Toronto’s most picturesque neighborhoods, known for its beautifully restored Victorian homes and lush greenery. You will learn about its working-class roots and its evolution into a sought-after residential area. A quick stop to greet the cows at Riverdale farm offers picturesque opportunities for photos.

Following your expert guide, you’ll pedal through the scenic streets of Rosedale, an upscale neighborhood with grand historic homes, winding roads, and stunning ravines. This tranquil part of the city offers a shaded and peaceful ride before descending into the Don Valley.

You’ll then arrive at the Evergreen Brick Works, a former brick factory turned into an award-winning eco-friendly community hub. Here, you’ll enjoy fresh and local pastries while you browse the farmers stalls of artisanal goods, fresh local produce, and delicious baked treats. You’ll have time to relax by the scenic ponds or explore the nearby trails before heading back.

The return journey back to the Distillery District will offer glimpses of the Don River as you ride through the Don Valley with a brief stop in the Canary District to see the street art and then a return to the Distillery District.
