Your tour begins with your fun and friendly local guide meeting at your downtown Saint John accommodation. You’ll then begin a narrated drive of the city passing several dazzling points of interest lit up at night such as the Saint John Port, Uptown, iconic the Saint John City Market, King Square, and historical Fort Howe.

Your guide will take you to Reversing Falls Rapids, a series of rapids on the Saint John River where the river runs through a narrow gorge before emptying into the Bay of Fundy. Twice each day 100 billion tons of water enters and exits the Bay of Fundy. The water levels can rise as high as 9 meters in a tidal cycle. This is a sight to behold as the enormously high tide reverses the flow of the mighty Saint John River known as ‘nature’s tug-of-war’.

Next, take a step back in time at Fort La Tour, a National Historic Site of Canada. Fort La Tour is an archaeological site containing the remains of a 17th-century fortified fur trading post and evidence of over 4000 years of Indigenous history.

You’ll continue to Carleton Martello Tower, one of the nine surviving Martello Towers in Canada dating back to 1812. The Tower played a significant role in conflicts up until the Second World War. From here you can enjoy views of the city of Saint John, its harbor and skyline.

At the end of your tour, your guide will bring to your downtown Saint John accommodation.
