This fun Clue Solving Adventure combines the thrill of a scavenger hunt, the rush of an adventure race, and the challenge of an escape room.

With your smartphone guiding you, you’ll work together to decipher a series of clues to solve a mystery. You can race against the clock, or you can enjoy the experience at your own pace.

This adventure is a great experience for families, friends, and groups.

Your Penticton clue solving adventure: Something Brewing in Wine Country

A brewing-themed treasure hunt in the midst of beautiful wine country!
Can you solve a trail of clues that will uncover the essential ingredients, insight and expertise to brew the perfect craft beer, and in doing so help save the reputation of the city?

• Start location:  Downtown Penticton

• Start time: Start any day any time. No entry is required into any business.

• Walking distance:  3km flat walking on city streets and pathways.

• Average time to complete: 2-hours 
  

• Level of difficulty: The game is family and pet friendly however the storyline is brewery themed and can be quite challenging. We recommend playing with adults.
  
  
• What you need: At least one fully charged cellphone per team (we advise 2+). Dress for the weather and wear footwear suitable for walking around town.
  
  
• Highlights:  Breweries, Lakefront, Downtown Shops

How it works:

• You’ll receive a series of clues on the free APP. Each clue will guide you to the next location where you'll find a hidden word or solve a puzzle.
• Along the way, you'll visit local icons, uncover hidden places, and experience stunning scenery.
• Once you’ve registered your game and selected your start date with the tour provider, you will receive an email with the instructions and the access code. This happens after you’ve activated your experience on Breakaway Experiences’ website.
• Download the free APP and use the access code to activate your adventure.
• Clues are sequential and written assuming you have no knowledge of the Penticton.
• Submit the correct answer and you will immediately get the next clue. Don’t worry, hints and directions are available, but they’ll cost you a time penalty!
• Complete all the clues and solve the final mystery!

• Suggested team size is 2 - 5 players. It is most fun when working with other people to find and solve clues.
• You are not required to buy anything along the route.
• Data plans are only used to activate the adventure and are not used during play.
• Please ensure that your cellphone is charged before you begin. You are only required to use the phone for the App.
• Additional phones may be added at no extra cost.
• Bringing a phone charger is a good idea if your battery is low or weak.
