Looking for a new way to see the city of Vancouver and its waterways?

Before sunset, you’ll meet your experienced guide on Granville Island. They'll get you equipped and give you a safety briefing. When you are comfortable and ready to go, you’ll push off and follow your guide into False Creek and English Bay.

Watch the sun disappear over the horizon and then light up the water with glowing LED lights, creating a halo around you in the water. You’ll continue paddling your lighted kayak along the coastline, exploring False Creek and English Bay, taking in spectacular views of the downtown skyline set against the dark background of the night sky. After this peaceful paddle you’ll make your way back to Granville Island.

The Light the Night Kayak Tour is the perfect way to relax after a long week and enjoy being on the water as you discover Vancouver.

When: June - August - Fridays and Saturdays
Need to know:

  • No experience is necessary.
  • Minimum age is 12 years.
  • You must be able to swim on your own.
  • Children 15 and younger must be accompanied by a paying adult in a tandem kayak.
  • Single kayak riders must be 16 or older and able to demonstrate a satisfactory solo rescue.
