This full day guided kayak tour and hike of Terence Bay will leave you feeling one with nature.
Your kayak tour will leave from a sheltered cove on the Lower Prospect peninsula. You’ll spend the first half of the tour exploring incredible bays, islands, inlets, and shorelines such as Cub Basin, Betty’s Island, Rogues Roost and the Terence Bay Wilderness Protected Area. You’ll return back to base for lunch and enjoy the scenic view from the wharf.
After lunch, you’ll venture onto the lower half of the Terence Bay Wilderness Preserve for a hike along Shipley’s Head. With your guide, you’ll visit the Terence Bay light house and walk along the SS Atlantic Heritage park trail while enjoying the magnificent view of the Terence Bay cliffs. You’ll have a chance to visit the small Interpretation center onsite.

Your tour guides are some of the most qualified and highly trained paddlers in the region. They will show you everything you need to know to get on the water safely. A large wharf and specialized floats make it easy to choose the right kayak and head out without any fear of tipping over.
The tour provider is located in an area which offers a myriad of pristine islands, sheltered inlets, beaches, amazing wildlife, and incredible rock formations. Watch close, you may see whales, propoises, seals, eagles, or even a school of breaching tuna.

Need to Know:
- Hiking: the level of difficulty is easy to moderate.
- Please bring sunscreen, hat, extra fleece/windbreaker, water, shoes that can get wet and sunglasses. For clothing, avoid cotton and wear quick-dry material such as fleece or yoga clothes.
- Maximum weight per kayak is 300lbs.
- Children can join their parents in a double kayak and will require their own certificate purchase.
