This relaxing evening kayak tour begins when you meet your knowledgeable guide at Granville Island and get a brief orientation. At this time of day, the city is relaxed the water is generally calm, and kayaking Vancouver’s waterways is the perfect way to end the day. Much like friendly seagulls the easy-going and harbour seals you’ll meet along the way, take in the sights at any pace you choose, and save the adrenaline rush for another day.

You’ll lower yourself into your single or double kayak and set off. Your experienced guide will lead you through the new and exciting developments, while providing a glimpse into the history of our beautiful city. He/she will put names to buildings as they point out the most popular sights along the skyline and see the floating houseboats as they bob gently in the water, rocking their inhabitants in a relaxing manner.

Designed for beginner kayakers, no previous paddling skills are required. Your guide will give you a detailed safety speech and information about how to paddle, where to paddle and answer any questions you may have.

Need to know:
  • If you would like to kayak alone, you must be an experienced kayaker and be able to demonstrate a successful solo rescue.
  • Minimum height requirement is 4 feet.
  • Paddlers under the age of 16 must be in the front cockpit of a double kayak with someone who is at least 19 years of age in the back.
  • You must be able to swim on your own.
  • Minimum age is 10 years old.
  • Children under the age of 16 are required to have adult supervision.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travellers. If it’s cancelled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.
  • Tour guide gratuities are not included, optional and always appreciated.
