Eat Like A Canadian Food Tour

Taste some of the more traditional Canadian dishes and learn the stories behind them.

This 2.5-hour tour begins at Fisherman’s Wharf's and ends on Government Street. Starting at Finest at Sea restaurant, you’ll try some amazing local seafood like smoked sablefish or candied salmon. You’ll then head next door to Imagine Studio Café to taste Bannock, a traditional First Nations dish of fried bread. This tasty tour wouldn’t be complete without trying homemade Hawaiian Pizza, a truly iconic Canadian dish.

The tour continues through historic James Bay to the Inner Harbour where you will pass some of Victoria’s most visited sights including The Fairmont Empress Hotel, the Pendray Inn and Tea House, the Legislature Building, and the stunning Waterfront Causeway.

The tour then stops at the historic Steamship Terminal for the most popular dessert in Western Canada, the Nanaimo Bar, and a unique maple syrup tasting. Next, you’ll head to bustling Government Street for a traditional poutine as well as a chocolate from Canada’s oldest chocolatier. Your tasty tour wraps up with a BC ice-wine tasting at Artisan Wine Shop.
