Whistler Family Snowmobile Tour

The kids are going to love this tour … and they can try driving their very own mini-snowmobiles! 

The Whistler Family Snowmobile Tour is a great way for the family discover the sport of snowmobiling.  Located just a 10-minute drive from Whistler Village, you will be introduced to snowmobiling in a safe, informative and exciting environment. 

Once you've completed your orientation, your professional guide will bring you on a scenic beginner lever ride up to the scenic mountain top plateau where you kid's get to ride mini-snowmobiles for 30 minutes while parents get to enjoy the specacular views.

Get ready for an unforettable journey through Whistler’s magnificent terrain including old growth forests, breathtaking views, and the thrill of riding on frozen lakes.

For families with kids ages 6 to 12 - Kid's can ride mini-snowmobiles!

Tour highlights:  

• A snowmobile tour specifically for families.
• Kids get to ride mini-snowmobiles.

What's included: 

• An informative, professional and friendly guide.
• All necessary equipment including DOT certified helmet.

Duration: 

• 2.5 hours (round trip) with approximately 1.25 hours ride time + 30 minutes with the mini snowmobiles..

• Mid December to Mid April, 9:00am & 11:00am *

Need to know:

• Drivers on the family tour who will carry a passenger must be a minimum of 19 years old with a valid Novice or Full (unrestricted) Driver’s License equivalent to a BC Class 5 license.
• Drivers who won’t be carrying a passenger must be 16+ with a valid Novice or Full (unrestricted) Driver’s License equivalent to a BC Class 5 license.
• All driver’s must present their physical Driver’s License when they check-in at base. Learners Permits will not be accepted.
• Passengers must be a minimum of 6 years old, over 4 feet tall and fit a XXS full face helmet.
• Mini-snowmobiles are recommended for children 6 to 12 years old.
• Meeting location is at the tour provider's Cougar Mountain base camp, a 10 minute drive from Whistler Village.
• What to wear: dress as if you were skiing – warm layers, winter jacket, warm gloves, snow pants, and boots.
• Tours will run in all weather conditions unless it is deemed unsafe.
• You must wear one of the tour provider D.O.T. certified and regularly inspected helmets. Personal helmets are not permitted.
• All drivers and passengers are required to sign a legal release of liability waiver.
• No additional damage coverage fees.
