During this 80-minute-long experience, in an amphibious seaplane, you’ll learn the foundations of aviation and practice the essential maneuvers of flight from the exciting position of the co-pilot’s seat with guidance from your pilot. This includes learning the unique differences of taking off and landing on water.
No previous experience required.
On your flight, you will make a landing and take-off from the water. During your time on the water, you will have the opportunity to steer the seaplane around the pristine waters you’ve landed on.
The Ground Briefing: Before taking to the skies there are a few fundamentals that any want-to-be pilot needs to know including: visual flight rules, the theory of lift, how flaps help generate lift at slower speeds, how to read and understand the cockpit instrumentation, and what on Earth ailerons are! By the end of the briefing, you'll know all you need to know to fly a plane.
The Flight: Once you’re in the air, this will be your chance to put all the expertly shared knowledge you learned from your pilot into action in the skies above Squamish, and then in the waters surrounding the Coast Mountains. There is no set route on this flight, so you will get the opportunity to carve your own journey under the watchful guide of your pilot.
Share the Experience: The amphibious seaplane has four seats. One for you, one for your pilot, and up to two in the back. Bring along friends or family as Additional Passengers to share the experience with you.

- Maximum number of passengers per flight is 3 (including student “pilot”). The planes have four seats. One for you, one for the pilot and two in the back for passengers.
- All ages can be passengers in a flight. Children older than two must have their own seat.
- Children up to two years old are considered infants and must sit on the lap of their guardian.
- Maximum combined weight of all passengers (maximum of 3: 600lbs (270kg).
- Dress for the season. Sunglasses are recommended.
- All flights are subject to weather conditions.
