Skypilot and Copilot - Two distinctive peaks rising from the southeast corner of Squamish, Skypilot is the larger bumpy mountain formation and Copilot is the unique rocky horn to its side. Their soft shapes were created tens of thousands of years ago, as Stadium Glacier marched on grinding down any rock in its path. Pillars of the Squamish landscape, they’re a magnificent sight to behold on the Sea To Skypilot Scenic Flight.
The Howe Sound Fjord - The Howe Sound is North America’s southernmost fjord winding 42km inland from the Burrard Inlet near Vancouver to the glacial-fed Squamish River. The result of glaciers, earthquakes, volcanoes and mountain-building from a past geological era, the Howe Sound is of high ecological significance. The coastal zone of BC is home to 78% of all mammal species, 64% of breeding birds and 67% of freshwater fish.
