Banff Snowshoeing Tour to Marble Canyon

This half-day guided tour in Kootenay National Park a short drive from Banff, is an easy introduction to snowshoeing. You will be snowshoeing across mainly flat terrain as your guide leads you through the forest left standing from the 2003 Kootenay fire.

You’ll search for lynx, snowshoe hare, and wolf tracks while your guide explains how the landscape is changing and animals are adapting. You’ll see how the pounding waters of Tokumn Creek have eroded a 40-meter deep limestone gorge.

This tour is an easy afternoon introductory snowshoeing tour, suitable for beginners and those of all fitness and ability levels.

Need to know:

• Minimum age for participation is 8 years.
• All children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied by someone 18 years and older.
• All adults must sign a waiver prior to the tour.
• A waiver must also be completed by the parent or guardian of any child under the age of 18.
• Please be prepared for mountain weather. Dress in full ski wear including thermals, a winter jacket, a sweater, snow pants, winter boots, a hat, and gloves.
