This one-of-a-kind guided snowmobile adventure is the perfect way to start your Whistler day!
Travel through old growth forest in the calm after daybreak, passing frozen alpine lakes to stunning viewpoints. This guided tour, ideal for both first time and intermediate level snowmobilers, takes place on the pristine backcountry trails of Cougar Mountain, just a 10-minute drive from Whistler Village.
- Beginner Tours: Specially designed for first time riders, you will be introduced to the sport of snowmobiling in an exciting, safe and informative environment. Once you’ve completed your orientation, following your guide, you’ll explore magnificent terrain including wide open trails and experience breathtaking views.
- Intermediate Tours: Experience the next step in adventure snowmobiling! With more exciting terrain and tighter trails, Intermediate Tours are designed for those with some experience. You should have some previous snowmobile, ATV or jet-ski experience.
Tour highlights:
- Beginner and Intermediate-level morning snowmobile tour through the beautiful backcountry trails of Cougar Mountain.
- Easy to drive snowmobiles (automatic).
- The ratio of guide to guest is one guide per 5 machines.
- Tour along trails kepts in fantastic shape by a fleet of groomers.
- Drive the snowmobile alone, or ride with another passenger.
What’s included:
- An informative, professional and friendly guide.
- All necessary equipment including DOT certified helmet.
Duration: 2.5 hours (round trip) with approximately 1.75 hours ride time
When:
- Tours daily 8:30am departure
- Mid December to mid April, subject to trail conditions.
Need to know:
- Meeting location is at the tour provider's Cougar Mountain base camp, a 10 minute drive from Whistler Village.
- What to wear: dress as if you were skiing – warm layers, winter jacket, warm gloves, snow pants, and boots.
- You must be a minimum of 16 years old and have a valid driver’s license to drive (learner's permit acceptable).
- Tours will run in all weather conditions unless it is deemed unsafe.
- Children 12 and under ride free when riding with an adult driver.
- Children must be 4’ tall (122 cm), able to hang on to an adult, and fit a Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) XXS helmet to ride.
- One child may ride with the guide (passenger charge applies) (subject to availability).
- You must wear one of the tour provider D.O.T. certified and regularly inspected helmets. Personal helmets are not permitted.
- All drivers and passengers are required to sign a legal release of liability waiver.
- No additional damage coverage fees.
