Bowen Island Dinner and Zodiac Boat Tour – Vancouver

A sightseeing tour from Granville Island and dinner on Bowen Island...an exciting date night in Vancouver!

Your exciting dinner adventure begins when you arrive on Granville Island. You will be equipped with a survival suit that will fit over top of your dinner attire and keep you from getting wet along the way. Before departing, you’ll place your order for dinner so that it will be ready upon your arrival restaurant. You’ll then climb aboard the 30-foot, 12-seater Zodiac watercraft and get ready to cruise over to Bowen Island for a delicious dinner.

As the zodiac boat navigates out of False Creek, your guide will tell you about the history of Granville Island, the Burrard Street Bridge, the Eugenia Building and Bard on the Beach as you follow the shoreline, and then pick up speed when you reach open water.

Your boat will speed up to 50km/hr and follow the shoreline around Stanley Park. The boat will make a quick stop at Siwash Rock where you can take a few pictures.  The tour will continue along the shoreline towards Point Atkinson and then disembark at Bowen Island for dinner. You’ll have one hour to dine and stroll around Bowen Island’s shops.

After dinner and a stroll around Bowen Island’s shops, you’ll return to the boat for a second sightseeing cruise, cruising along the south shore of English Bay to see Vancouver’s seal colony from the water, then visit the Spanish Banks to see the shipping freighters up close (time permitting). You’ll continue along the south shore of English Bay to Kitsilano Beach and steer back towards the shoreline of Granville Island, where your tour concludes.

In contrast to larger cruises and other boat tours in Vancouver, the Zodiac boats are fast, nimble and limited to 12 guests making for a more intimate experience with everything from wildlife to waterfalls. The small, comfortable Zodiacs gives you the opportunity to get up close and personal with seals, sea lions, starfish, jellyfish, bald eagles, and even occasionally dolphin and local black bears.
