A guided kayaking tour is the most rewarding and refreshing way to experience the 1000 Islands! The tour, departing from Gananoque, is perfect for a quick get-a-way from the city. You can be on the water, enjoying the river in no time!

This guided half-day and full-day kayaking tours are designed with beginners in mind. The guides are professionals, the instruction is excellent, the food is fabulous, the equipment is top-notch, and the adventure awaits!

Amidst all the fun things to do in Kingston and Ganaoque this summer, this is the one that will get you on the water and immerse you into the 1000 Islands' incredible beauty.

Each trip begins with a complete ‘Kayaking 101′ lesson from the professional guides. The boats are stable, comfortable and the certified staff will always be close to lend a helping hand. You will quickly gain the confidence for a relaxing day among the islands.

The 1000 Islands region is an integral part of the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Reserve, a member of the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves. Above all, it offers world class sea kayaking for all levels of paddlers.

  • Kayak and all necessary equipment including life jacket / PFD (personal floatation device)

Season: May - October

Departure times:

  • Full day tours: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Half day tours: 8:30am - 11:30am or 1pm - 4pm. Friday and Saturday Sunset Tours 5:30 - 8:30pm

Need to know:

  • On the full day tour lunch is not provided. Please bring your own lunch as you will be stopping on one of the National Park Islands for a fresh air picnic.
  • No experience is necessary.
