Virtual Escape Room – Ruins: Forbidden Treasure

A remote escape room experience – played from your home and in a real escape room at the same time!

What is a Virtual Escape Room?

• Each game is live and hosted by a Game Guide who is in the escape room wearing a camera with a video feed. You’ll see what they see.
• It’s up to you and your team, working together to direct the Game Guide through the experience and to a successful escape!
• Keep track of clues and items you find along the way using your Inventory section.
• Explore 360° images of the room using your interactive online dashboard. You’ll maneuver the physical environment of the escape room via the live camera feed.
• You’ll experience the same cooperative gameplay, puzzles, and tasks to escape the room, except it’s all virtual on Zoom.

You can share an escape room experience with friends and families no matter where they are using Zoom.

How it works:

• You and your team, playing from anywhere, together, or apart, will log in to your Zoom meeting where you will meet your Host and Game Guide.
• Your Host will explain how to play and be there throughout the experience to provide clues.
• Your Game Guide is in the escape room with a live video feed to act as your eyes, hands, feet, and ears.
• Use your online dashboard to keep track of the clues and items you find along the way and to explore independently using 360° images.
• Work with your team to escape in under 60 minutes!

Your Mission: Do you dare enter a mysterious temple for the chance to unearth forgotten riches? While on what seemed to be a safe tour over jungle landscapes quickly fell apart, leaving you stranded at the foot of ancient temple ruins rumoured to be the home of a massive treasure. Are you and your team daring enough to enter the mysterious temple and uncover forgotten riches? You’ll have 60 minutes to navigate the temple, get the treasure, and escape unscathed!

To get started:  

• Up to 8 players can play together.
• After you have activated your experience on Breakaway Experiences’ website, you’ll contact the Escape Game provider to reserve a game time.
• You’ll receive a Zoom link to your game at least 12 hours in advance of your scheduled game time.
• Log onto Zoom (or your preferred video conference service) with your teammates, where you will be met by your Host and Game Guide.
• You’ll have an online dashboard to watch videos and keep track of the clues and items you find along the way.
• Work with your team to ‘escape’ in under 60 minutes!

Duration: 60-minutes.

Need to know: 

• You must purchase a minimum of 4 spots to reserve a game Monday – Friday and 5 spots to reserve a game on Saturday and Sunday.

• This Escape Game experience is recommended for ages 13 and up but can accommodate players of all ages. Some game content may be too difficult for players under 13.

• An adult, 18 or older, must participate with anyone under 15.

• You Escape Room experience is private to your group.
