Ottawa Adventure Drive – A Ghost Outing

Buckle up for an Ottawa adventure with friends and family … fun together … finally!

We are all ready for some fun after being of cooped up at home. This Ottawa Adventure Drive is the perfect opportunity to get out and have fun while staying safe in your own car. It is a drive that follows the Rideau River and returns to Moodie Cemetery.

Your mission: Patrick Whelan, the man who murdered one of the founding fathers of the Confederation, Thomas McGee (a true story), still haunts the Rideau River. Set out on a rally type, scavenger hunt style adventure armed with your Spectre Collector and capture this villainous spirit.

This ghostly Adventure Drives combines the elements of a scavenger hunt, an escape room, geo-caching, and a ramble around the Ottawa area. Using the world class Goosechase app with the associated adventure website you’ll engage in photo and video challenges and solve the mystery if you can!

How it works:

• You’ll start at Moodie Cemetery where your game host will get you started.
• You’ll receive a series of directives on the free Goosechase APP. Each guiding you to the you to the next location.
• There will be 3 stops, each with fun, sometimes scary video or photo tasks.
• While travelling, you’ll be listening to a ghostly audio story.
• Using the App, you’ll submit your answers and pictures.
• You’ll receive real time feedback and bonus points with a virtual guide throughout your adventure drive.
• Bonus points are awarded based on your creativity. The team with the most points wins the challenge!
• The adventure takes approximately two hours, ending at Moodie Cemetery.
