Wine Tasting and Segway Tour at Henry of Pelham Winery

This tour at Henry of Pelham Family Estate presents a unique opportunity for wine lovers to enjoy a Segway ride through the beautiful vineyards of Short Hills Bench, the most easternly of the sub-appellations located within the Niagara Escarpment.The cool nights and warm sunny days characteristic of this area are perfect for developing the intense grape flavours derived from its complex soils.

Your unique Niagara winery tour begins with a 10-minute training on how to ride a Segway. Once everybody feels comfortable, you’ll follow your guide through the vineyards. Following your Segway tour, you’ll visit the wine shop to enjoy a wine tasting of four different wines, including their signature Baco Noir and their ice wines.

 Need to know:

• Minimum age for participation is 12 years. Wine tasting is restricted to 19 years and over.
• Weight restrictions: each rider must weigh between 100 and 250 lbs (45 to 115 kg).
• Each person receives individual training and time to get comfortable on the Segway before they start the actual tour.
• Segways are operated by sensors underneath your feet, therefore, you will need to wear comfortable and flat shoes.
• Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level.
• Tours will run rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe by your tour guide. Please wear appropriate clothing.
• Riders must wear the helmet that is provided with the tour or provide a similar multi-impact sports helmet (must be CSA approved).
• It is not recommended that pregnant women and any person with health restrictions or seizure disorders participate in this activity.
