The Gerrard Indian Bazaar is one of the most colorful and tastiest neighborhoods in the city. You’ll learn a little about Toronto's history, see where Little India all began and how it grew into the largest Indian bazaar in North America. Your guide will show you where to buy spices and how to pick the perfect mango. You’ll get to taste modern Pakistani cuisine as well as dishes from the four corners of India including Dosa, Mango Lassi, kabobs, Indian beer, Naan bread fresh from the Tandoor oven and Hakka cuisine typically prepared on the china/India border. The tour would not be complete with out trying the best butter chicken in Toronto. Did you know it’s not a traditional Indian dish but one that was created for the British when India was part of the British Empire.
