Grande Prairie Zombie Scavenger Hunt

Get ready to explore Grande Prairie in a unique way!

Zombie Scavengers is the perfect scavenger hunt to get to know Grande Prairie on your own terms while trying to survive a zombie apocalypse! It’s an interactive game using an app on your smartphone to scavenger for supplies to survive, in any order you'd prefer, around the city.

The more you find, the greater the chances you’ll survive the Apocalypse. With the whole world in chaos and zombies outnumbering the living 10 to 1, small colonies of the living are struggling to subsist. With your team of up to 10 people, you'll explore downtown Grand Prairie for much needed supplies like bandages, vehicles, food, and more.

The Zombie Scavenger Hunt's dedicated app will give you a list of items you need to find to survive a zombie apocalypse. You will have 60 minutes to find and take pictures of these items. The more items you find, the more points you’ll earn to increase your chances of surviving the apocalypse. Perform zombie style challenges and answer trivia questions along the way to be rewarded even more points.

How it works:

• Zombie Scavenger Hunt is a digital scavenger hunt played using an app on your phone. Registration instructions will be provided to you once you have activated your Breakaway Experiences' certificate.
• When you are ready to play, you’ll register with the experience provider.
• You'll then download the app called "GooseChase" onto your smartphone to start your scavenger hunt.
• On the day and time you want to play, you’ll go to your starting location at Grande Prairie Public Library Plaza, and follow the directions provided to you in the Zombie Scavenger app.
• You won’t be alone. Your remote host/guide will be monitoring your progress via the App every step of the way. You can chat with them on the App throughout the game to receive hints, tips and help if you need it.

• Zombie Scavenger Hunt customer support hours are Tuesday-Sunday from 9am-5pm.
• If you prefer, you can play anytime, outside customer support hours.

• You can have up to 10 people on your team. Between 4 and 6 people is the optimum group size.
• Nobody will be physically there with you during the game, dressed as Zombies. Everything is done through your smartphone.
• You are not required to purchase anything during the scavenger hunt. Once you locate an item, all you have to do is take a picture to prove you found it.
• To play the game you will need an iOS or Android Smartphone with data plan.
• The game is played outdoors in public spaces.
• The experience is wheelchair accessible. It is an open scavenger hunt, where you can explore the city on your own terms.
• There is no specific route, therefore you don’t have to go anywhere that is not wheelchair accessible, nor will you be asked to find anything that could not be accessible in a wheelchair.
