Learn to Sail in a Day:
Your full day is spent ON THE WATER. The morning covers wind theory and points of sail then steering and sail trim. Lunch is a gourmet picnic lunch (included) on the island. In the afternoon you'll practice the morning lesson and apply emergency situations. By days end you will return to the dock with new found skills and ready for greater nautical challenges.
The aim of this short course is to introduce newcomers to the wonderful sport of sailing in a safe, controlled way. You will be able to sail safely as crew of a sloop rigged keel boat 6-9 meters with an outboard motor in 5 - 20 knots of wind by day.

3- hour Introductory Sailing Lesson
This 3-hour course is a condensed version of “Learn to Sail in a Day”. This course is intended to provide novice boaters the opportunity to experience the joys of sailing in a safe and relaxed environment. With minimal learning objectives this experience can be easily adapted to meet the comfort level of first time boaters or more experienced individuals.
Your Instructors are certified by Sail Canada and provide thorough and engaging lessons.
No prior sailing knowledge or experience is required.

All bookings are subject to severe weather rescheduling and minimum participation. Sailing occurs rain or shine subject to dangerous conditions.
What to wear: We recommend wearing sunscreen, hat and non-marking, rubber soled shoes, layered clothing (a base cool layer, warmer middle layer and waterproof outer layer). The temperature can be much cooler during a breeze and when the sun goes down.
