Price for: 1 Participant
Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as you hike Kananaskis’ Ptarmigan Cirque to Highwood Pass, Canada’s highest pass. This guided 2.5 hour hike starts at 7250 feet above sea level and brings you to 8000 feet, the perfect habitat for pikas, bighorn sheep and an array of alpine plant life.

The adventure begins when you meet your certified guide in Kananaskis Village and then head out for Canada’s highest pass.

The hike begins with a steady climb through a beautiful forest of pine, fir, larches and spruce. Take in the spectacular view points on the way up and watch for flowers and mushrooms along the forest floor. As you hike through a wide, open meadow to the base of a huge alpine cirque, your guide will chat with you about the special adaptations that make life at these high altitudes possible.

Your hike will take you to an elevation of 8000 feet and then you’ll follow the creek and waterfalls back on this easy 2 -3 hour hike.
