Learn the fundamentals of survival in the wilderness.
Fire starting: Your instructor will guide you through learning to use ferrocerium rods to make fire a variety ways including starting a fire using materials found on the countryside. Once you have mastered the basic fire making skills, you can try your hand using more primitive methods of fire starting such as the bow drill!
You will learn create fire using 3 different methods:
- Ferrocerium rods & cotton balls
- Ferrocerium rods with natural tinder
- Bow drill
Shelter building: You will learn to build primitive survival shelters using materials found in nature along with tarps! This is much more challenging than you would think!

Duration: 2 hours
This wilderness survival course is designed so you can enjoy the experience and take home some valuable knowledge and a greater understanding of survival techniques. With some knowledge, basic wilderness survival skills plus a little confidence you can survive almost anywhere!
