COVID-19 Update

During these challenging times, we hope that you and your loved ones stay safe and well.

At Breakaway Experiences, our mission is to help create lifelong memories for you, your family, and your friends through experiences. As we have all had to navigate unique times, putting going out and having fun on hold for a while, we are dedicated to helping you get out and about on new adventures safely when you are ready.

Our team is working remotely and available to help in any way possible. From assisting you with certificates for upcoming experiences to helping you give a great experience gift for a birthday, anniversary, or any gifting occasion, we are here for you. We are confident these challenging times will pass, and we know Canadians will be ready to embrace life more than ever.

Our passionate and dedicated experience providers are working diligently to follow federal, provincial and local guidelines for reopening. They are implementing new procedures and protocols to keep you safe and this ‘new normal’ varies for each experience. To help you know which experiences have reopened and waiting for you, we’ve added “COVID-19 Safety” information to the bottom of the product pages for experiences that are operating again and have protocols in place to keep you safe.  We are working hard to keep this evolving information up to date. What if I have an experience certificate?
We will be revalidating any experience interrupted due to COVID-19 at no additional charge to the certificate holder and ensure you have plenty of time to enjoy your experience.

Is my upcoming booking cancelled?
During these trying times, each of our experience partners are working tirelessly to provide their customers the best possible experiences while still complying with local and federal guidelines regarding COVID-19 and social distancing. If you have already reserved your experience with the experience provider, please contact the experience provider directly. Their contact information is listed on your experience certificate and can also be accessed by logging into your Breakaway Experiences’ My Account.

If I buy an experience, how long do have to use it?
All certificates for Breakaway Experiences’ activities are valid for 12 months from the day they are purchased. The value you paid for the experience never expires. If you don’t book your experience within 12 months and the price of the experience increases you can either pay the difference or exchange the voucher for another experience free of charge (unless you have activated your certificate and then you would only pay the difference). For experiences with limited dates or availability, if COVID-19 prevents the certificate holder from using the experience this season, the certificate will be revalidated at no additional charge to ensure they have plenty of time to enjoy their experience.
