Blacksmith Class – Forge Your Own Blacksmithing Tools

Learn to make your own blacksmith tools!

Work with hot metal and discover the joy of seeing functional blacksmith tools you created with your own hands. Forge your own tools with the assistance of experienced instructors.

These courses are designed for beginners that have no or little experience in blacksmithing or metalwork.

What’s included:

• Learn the ancient and noble skill of blacksmithing from a blacksmithing veteran.
• Work to create your own blacksmith tools in the workshop.
• 7-hour session in a relaxed and fun environment.
  

When: Available year-round with select class dates each month (subject to availability).

Duration: 7-hours

Need to know:

• Maximum number of participants per class is 4.
• The minimum age to participate is 14 years.
• Participants under 16 years must be accompanied by an parent or guardian.
• Participants under 18 require a waiver signed by their legal guardian.
• Steel toe shoes or boots are mandatory.
• Full length cotton or wool pants and a long sleeve cotton or wool shirt are mandatory.
• Rings, bracelets or necklaces cannot be worn during the class. Exception is for a medic alert item.
• Students are to provide their own water and snacks. At least 1 litre of water is recommended.
• Gloves, aprons and safety glasses will be provided.
