Guided by your smart phone, you and your friends will discover hidden gems and new pathways as you uncover a trail of clues and solve puzzles that lead you around Richmond.

These adventure are great for families, friends, and groups. Whether you choose to race or enjoy the experience at a leisurely pace as you tour Richmond is entirely up to you!

Choose from 2 exciting Richmond clue solving adventures: 

1. People and Places Adventure

Funds designated to launch a major new cultural program in the city of Richmond have been stolen. The RCMP needs YOUR help to unravel the case! Do YOU have what it takes to solve the clues and save the day? Explore the parks and shops of downtown Richmond on this fast-paced clue-solving adventure

• Start location: Downtown Richmond

• Start time: It's flexible! Start any day any time. We recommend playing during mall hours (usually 10am to 9pm).

• Walking distance: Approximately 3.5 kms on mostly flat streets and trails. A section of this adventure takes place inside Richmond Centre mall. There is an option within the game to stay outside if preferred, or if the mall is closed.

• Average time to complete: 90 - 120 minutes.

• What you need: At least one fully charged cellphone per team (we advise 2+) and footwear for walking around town. Dress for the weather.

• Children: This adventure is family friendly. 

2. Flights of Fashion

Rumours are swirling about the anticipated arrival of a renowned fashion designer at YVR Airport. It appears an internationally renowned fashion designer is ready to launch a highly sophisticated new clothing brand and is moving from city to city searching for a location worthy of the launch. But to win the deal, someone must successfully find and solve a series of clues. The question is, do YOU have what it takes to complete the task?

• Start location: at McArthurGlen Designer Outlets

• Start time: It's flexible! Start any day any time between 10:30am and 7:00pm

• Walking distance: Approximately 2.5km. Flat indoor and outdoor pathways. Elevators and escalators available in places where there are stairs.

• Average time to complete: 90-120 minutes.

• What you need: At least one fully charged cellphone per team (we advise 2+) and footwear for walking around town. Dress for the weather.

• Children: This adventure is good for families. 

How it works:

• You’ll receive a series of clues on the free APP. Each clue will guide you to the next location where you'll solve a puzzle or find a hidden word.
• Along the way, you'll visit local icons, experience stunning scenery and uncover hidden places.
• Once you’ve registered your adventure and selected your start date with the tour provider, you’ll receive an email with the access code and instructions. This happens after you’ve activated your experience on Breakaway Experiences’ website.
• Download the free APP and use the access code to activate your adventure.
• Clues are sequential and written assuming you have no knowledge of the town.
• Submit the correct answer and you will immediately get the next clue. Don’t worry, hints and directions are available, but they’ll cost you a time penalty!
• Decipher all the clues to solve the final mystery!
• The game is most fun when working with other people to find and decipher clues. Suggested team size is 2 to 5 players.

Need to know:

• You are not required to purchase anything along the route, however there will be time for shopping and dining if you wish.
• Make sure your phone is charged before you start. Additional phones can be added to your game at no extra cost.
• Data plans are only used to activate the adventure and are not used during play.
