Your adventure begins Friday morning at the home ranch in Pemberton and ends Sunday afternoon. During this time, you’ll explore the beautiful mountain range between Birkenhead Lake and the Li-lik-hel mine. Lakes, rivers, alpine meadows, forests, old mine packhorse trails and single track await your exploration. Sure-footed gentle mountain horses will bring you to the base camp. Your guides will set up and cook dinner around the campfire. Over the three days you will get to know your horse who has been picked to match your abilities.Bright and early on the first day of the expedition, the ranch will drive you to the trail head from the ranch in Pemberton where you’ll meet your horse and guides. The first day you will be riding 15 kilometers to the base camp passing by a recent mine claim exploration. At the camp you will then meet up with your luggage. The base camp is equipped with outdoor plumbing and a hot shower along with tents mounted on platforms to provide that extra level of comfort for guests. The next day you will ride to the Li-lik-hel mine where you can explore the original mine site and see how the old hard rock miners extracted gold ore by following the veins in the rock. From base camp you can also enjoy horseback rides to a variety of locations of interest. Each day ends with comfortable tent lodgings and campfires. On the third day you will ride out and be returned to the ranch by 5 pm.Duration: 3 days (approx.)What’s included:
