Choose from three rafting trips with The Adventure Group and you are sure to find the perfect challenge and adventure!   The tours range between Classes 1 and 4 rapids. In the presence of an experienced professional raft guide you will venture onto one of Whistler’s pristine rivers with the confidence it takes to rip through the wild waters.

Cheakamus River
The Cheakamus River is a mild rafting adventure in the Paradise Valley, south of Whistler, for those craving a scenic tour.  With long stretches of fun, easy, splashy rapids this tour is perfect for a family with younger children or even grandparents. Bounce along these Class 1-2 rapids in stride on this TAG Whistler river rafting adventure. Light paddling as a team will further propel you down this gorgeous water route. This is an adventure that appeals to a very diverse range of people who are seeking a Whistler rafting experience all their own!

The Green River
This whitewater rafting trip takes you just north of Whistler Village to Green River, which provides the perfect combination of fun bouncy rapids and picturesque scenery for first-timers or for those on a family adventure. The Class 2 and 3 rapids you will encounter are sure to jostle your raft and challenge you to break through the white water. Paddling through the waves as a team will no doubt be a bonding experience you won’t soon forget!

Elaho-Squamish River
South of Whistler Village in Paradise Valley, the Elaho-Squamish River provides thrill-seekers with the challenge they so crave from a whitewater rafting experience. The Class 3 and 4 rapids you will encounter on this TAG Whistler whitewater rafting adventure will pit the true power of nature up against your paddle crew. Enjoy both a river snack on your journey and a tasty BBQ lunch after your tour. Every aspect of this adventure, including the gorgeous drive to the river, will envelop your senses and allow you to gain even more appreciation for the wilderness of the Coast Mountains.

Need to know:

  • Tours run rain or shine. Rafting is a great wet-weather activity!
  • PFD’s, wetsuits, booties, and helmet are provided to all participants.
  • All guests are required to sign a legal release of liability waiver.
  • Experienced rafting professionals provide instruction during your tour.

Do I need to be able to swim to raft?
Although the ability to swim is an asset it’s not essential on the Cheakamus and Green rivers. The BC rafting guides will go over all the safety info and will teach you everything you need to know about rafting with them. However if you would like to raft the Elaho-Squamish Rivers they would prefer you to be able to swim.

Do I have to be fit to go rafting?
The Adventure Group takes people rafting of all shapes and sizes and of all fitness levels. The Cheakamus and Green River’s are appropriate for everyone of all abilities and the Elaho-Squamish is a bigger river which requires  higher levels of exertion.
