Vancouver Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga

Discover the tranquility of stand up paddle board yoga on Vancouver’s English Bay. Yoga on its own is extremely beneficial, but when paired with stand up paddle boarding (SUP) you can achieve a greater core workout while challenging your strength and balance.
Find your core muscles while testing out your balancing skills with some SUP Yoga.
Your 90-minute stand-up paddleboard yoga session begins at Kitsilano Beach. You’ll receive a brief orientation from your instructor about stand-up paddleboard yoga (SUP yoga), get matched up with a stand up paddle board and paddle that reflect your experience level and body type, and get a feel for the maneuverability and weight of the board.
Once you’re comfortable on your board, your instructor will lead a yoga session. Test your balance skills and build up your core strength as your board gently rocks beneath you. The combination of breath and movement while moving on the water on your board will build focus, stability and tone your core and your mind. Explore the yoga poses at your own pace and ability level. You’ll return to shore after your 90-minute session with a newfound appreciation for the water and yoga, and likely a few slightly sore muscles.
Departure point: Kitsilano Beach, north end.

Need to Know:
- Minimum age: 16 years
- Please bring swimwear or active wear, dry clothes to change into after and a towel.
- It is recommended that you know how to swim and have been paddle boarding before
